Are you looking to join the cannabis industry? Use this course as a launch platform for learning the essentials of starting a business and engineering your cannabis brand in a socially responsible, environmentally friendly and profitable way.

We’ll kick off the day with a presentation on the basics of starting a business, led by Heady CEO and Cofounder Monica Donovan, along with an overview of the cannabis industry, and plenty of opportunity for Q&A afterwards. Then we’ll break for a specially prepared lunch at 12:30, created by local professional chef Jillian Austin. Participants are encouraged to explore the property, take a walk, bask in sunshine, get to know people, or anything else you feel like doing!

After our break, we’ll return with a presentation by Ashley Reynolds, president of Elmore Mountain Therapeutics, on her experiences starting a woman-owned cannabis business in Vermont. Afterwards we’ll dive deep into the areas of structuring a business, branding, marketing, growth strategies, and the challenges of working in a rapidly changing and developing industry. We’ll also break and form mini-groups, giving participants the opportunity to talk about their own ideas and projects. We wrap at 4:30 with a mini-networking hour, refreshments and an opportunity to mingle and network.
