By incorporating local recreation with Pride, The Wildflower will help support a fundraising effort for LGBTQ+ Vermonters. Please join us for the Vermont LGBTQ+ Pride Ride at the Wildflower in beautiful Lyndon!

The Pride Ride at the Wildflower will take place from noon to 5 pm on June 10th. The ride portion of the event will start at noon and conclude at around 2:30. You will have the choice of a 10-mile mountain bike ride on the beautiful trails throughout Burke on Kingdom Trails or a 20-mile gravel ride that will take you on a tour of our town. In addition, there will be an opportunity to go on a Pride Walk if biking isn’t exactly your thing. The walk will take less time and will be a good way to explore Darling Hill and the views of the Wildflower.

The after-party will take place at the Wildflower from 2 pm-5 pm. Providing live music for this event is Rangus out of Burlington. The Queer Punk Rock band will provide an epic sound for this event and we are very excited to have them. In addition, John Killacky will be joining us as our guest speaker. The former Vermont State Representative’s book is perfect for any lover of art. He has also served as the Executive Director of the Flynn Center for Performing Arts.

Our main focus of the event is to demonstrate our commitment to a welcoming environment for everyone and to showcase local LGBTQ+ people. Another way we will be doing this is through booths from local queer businesses and artists. We will also be opening this opportunity to allies. Our raffle will be the perfect blend between queer culture and the NEK, just like the event is a mixture of local recreation and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. All of the donations received during this event will go to Pride Center VT. Speaking of PCVT, they will be joining us with a booth and we are very excited to have them. We hope you can join us in supporting this awesome Vermont charity and grab a bit to eat while you’re here.
