UVM 2021 Hemp Production Webinar Series: Manufacturing of Hemp Products

Once hemp products are harvested and dried, they will go to manufacturing facilities for further processing. These manufacturing facilities manufacture either food or dietary supplement, and therefore are under different regulatory guidelines. This webinar will review the different type of product that can be manufactured with the addition of hemp products as ingredients. We will also provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions related to the manufacturing of hemp products.

SPEAKER: Omar Oyarzabal, a current member of the National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods, a lead instructor of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Food Safety Modernization Act Preventive Control for Human Food, and Sprout Safety Alliance training, and better process control school (acidified foods). Omar is also a Certified HACCP Auditor and has taught food safety, bioinformatics, biostatistics, microbial risk assessment and management, and introductory HACCP classes for close to 20 years.
