Industrial Hemp Training Program by UVM Extension: Hemp Propagation and Seedling Production

The online webinar trainings will kick off this new, comprehensive Industrial Hemp Training Program for Agricultural/Technical Service Providers created by the University of Vermont Extension Northwest Crops and Soils Program.
Webinar Trainings—1 CCA credit each, can earn up to 13 CCA credits total
- Each webinar will host a farmer, researcher, or other expert practitioner. Webinars will discuss common obstacles to growing a successful hemp crop, address these issues through field proven technical knowledge, and follow a training plan that will best enable the Agricultural Service Provider to support the farmers. Hosted on Tuesdays from noon to 1pm.
- Note: Order of webinar topics is subject to change. Any changes made will be shared with participants in advance.
UVM Industrial Hemp Conference—CCA credits available
- Participating ASPs will have the opportunity to attend the 2021 and 2022 Conferences at no cost to them!
In-Field Intensive Trainings—5 CCA credits per training
- Five (5) in-field intensive trainings will be offered during Summer/Fall 2021. Participating ASPs are required to attend at least one. They will be hosted by local collaborating farms/processing facilities. These hands-on workshops will foster a stronger working knowledge of hemp equipment, soil health, fertility, techniques, and technology used to drive a successful crop.
