FIFTH Annual Veterans Day Giveaway – Sunday, November 20

JOIN US for the fifth annual Veteran’s Day Giveaway! We invite all area veterans to come by for one of our favorite events. Each year, we welcome vets to our office, listen to their stories and help provide access to and education around cannabis for PTSD, pain, trauma and other areas.
This year’s Veteran’s Day Giveaway takes place 12-2pm Sunday, November 20. We are celebrating five years this year -our longest-running Heady event!

This is a FREE event that seeks to provide a safe and caring space for veterans to learn about cannabis, socialize and take home community donations from local CBD companies, and other donated homegrown goods.

What type of donations do we accept for this event?
- THC + CBD donations from homegrowers
- CBD products from hemp businesses
We do not accept THC donations of regulated product from licensed cannabis establishments. However, license holders of all types are welcome to set up a table for free and educate veterans about their products during the event.
What does this mean? While licensed businesses may give away samples in the course of tabling, they may not advertise that they are doing so. We have updated our marketing policies following in-depth legal consulting and working with the Vermont Cannabis Control Board on their latest Advertising Guidance.
Licensed cannabis establishments of all types (cultivators, manufacturers, retailers) are welcome to set up a small 4 or 6-ft table for free and educate veterans about their products and potential benefits. There is plenty of space in our lot and indoors as well. Please message us to sign up! Setup is at 11am and event times are 12 to 2.

Homegrow Donation Instructions
We are accepting HOMEGROW DONATIONS only for this event. Licensed cannabis establishments of all types are welcome to set up a table for free and educate veterans about their products and potential benefits for veterans.
Please bag up your individual servings (ie, one dose of edibles, one eighth or quarter of flower) individually and label the strain and amount on the container/bag. Place all of these individual servings into a larger container (bag, box etc) and follow our instructions for outside labeling below.
If you’re unable to bag up individual servings, please try to get us your donation at least a week early – just get in touch!
We will have a fridge and freezer on hand for any perishable/edible items that may need temporary storage. We ask that perishable donations be dropped off closer to the Giveaway date to keep handling and storage manageable.
If you have testing results or additional information about your products, you may provide these with your products. While not required, it is helpful to have cannabinoid profiles, dosage info and strain names if you know them, as well as ingredients for topicals/edibles.
