Want to join the cannabis industry at the ground level? Vermont’s leading media and events platform is seeking a public policy intern for Winter/Spring of 2020.
This is a part-time internship (10-15 flexible hours/week). The ideal candidate has a strong interest in public policy, writing, reporting and the cannabis industry. We are looking for personable, driven, creative and detail-oriented individuals who want to learn and can take direction but who can also take initiative. You need to be able to get yourself to our studio in downtown Burlington and the State House in Montpelier - whether it's by bike, horse, unicycle or car!
What will you be learning about? Primarily we are looking to work with an intern in advocacy and public policy, with the goal of capturing and reporting State House policy changes from January through May. This includes:
- Attending and recording State House events
- Creating copy, press releases and other content for Heady media platforms
- Event assistance and prep
- General office help and participation in meetings & projects
We ask that you are able to commit at least three months. You must be able to complete the internship for college credit or on a volunteer basis, with a commitment of 10 hours per week spent in Montpelier and at our offices.
