Showcasing Legacy and Legal, The Headies Cup Enters Its Fourth Year

BURLINGTON – As Vermont kicks off its first full year of adult use sales, nearly 300 cultivators and more than 30 manufacturers are now licensed across the state.
Heady Vermont, the state’s largest cannabis events and media platform, has announced the fourth year of The Headies Cup, its signature growers cup. The mission of The Headies is to showcase and celebrate Vermont’s most talented cannabis cultivators and product makers.
Entry registrations are now open, and the Awards Party takes place Saturday, April 15 at The Barns at Lang Farm in Essex Junction, Vermont.

The Headies Cup returned in April of 2022, with hundreds attending an Awards Party showcasing Vermont craft-grown talent. A number of those cultivators and makers are now licensed, and their winning entries are now products that can be found on shelves in dispensaries across the state.

Legacy at The Headies Cup 2022 Awards Party
In a significant shift, competitors will now enter under Homegrow and Adult Use tracks. The change reflects new Vermont rules and regulations which have gone into effect since the last Cup. Once again, the Awards event will include a showcase of all entries, onsite demos, exhibitors, food and music.
“As the Cup adapts to state regulatory changes, we will continue to hold all entries to the same rigorous standards, and to showcase legacy cultivators and makers.” said Heady Vermont CEO Monica Donovan. “And as this shift happens, the competition will not only continue to showcase top talent, I think that it also has the potential to help illustrate where the legal market is falling short in some places.”
