Heady Vermont Celebrates Five Years of the Annual Veterans Day Giveaway on Sunday, November 20

BURLINGTON — In celebration of Veterans Day, Heady Vermont is organizing its fifth annual cannabis event for veterans on Sunday, November 20, 12-2 p.m. at Heady Vermont offices in Burlington.

Each year, Heady Vermont and a team of dedicated veteran volunteers welcomes vets to our office, listens to their stories and helps provide access to and education around cannabis for PTSD, pain, trauma and other areas. The goal of the Veterans Day Cannabis Event is to provide veterans with education and access to locally grown cannabis flower and other products in a safe space.

Light refreshments will be provided, and vendors will be on hand to educate veterans about their THC and CBD products. Heady Vermont will also provide further resources for veterans, including area support organizations and local Veteran discounts, in an effort to help veterans gain more regular access to cannabis products and educational tools.

Previously scheduled for Nov. 12-13, this event has been postponed to the following weekend due to potential extreme weather from Hurricane Nicole and heavy flooding anticipated in Heady Vermont’s office parking lot this weekend. The Veterans Day Giveaway now takes place on Sunday, November 20 from 12 to 2 p.m.

Growers and makers are welcome to donate their homegrown products during designated donation times at the Heady Vermont office at 250 Battery Street. Heady Vermont is accepting THC + CBD donations from homegrowers as well as CBD products from hemp businesses.

We do not accept THC donations of regulated product from licensed cannabis establishments. However, license holders of all types are welcome to set up a table for free and educate veterans about their products during the event. Please check out our Veterans Day event page for more donation and tabling details and what businesses can and cannot do. Setup is at 11am and event times are 12 to 2.
