Vermont Medical Cannabis Program Transition Announcement

An important memo from the Vermont Cannabis Control board regarding the transition of the Vermont Medical Cannabis program:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE MEDICAL CANNABIS PROGRAM

In accordance with Act 62 (2021), the Medical Cannabis Program will transfer to the Cannabis Control Board (CCB) on January 1st, 2022. The dedicated staff that work for this program will move to the Montpelier office where they will continue to provide excellent service.

What does this mean for you?

The CCB and Medical Cannabis Program is working to provide a seamless transition and continuity of services continues throughout the transition.

Will I be able to renew and apply for a medical card online?

The Medical Cannabis Program will continue to accept applications online and on paper until January 30th, 2022. You may visit https://medicalmarijuana.vermont.gov to apply online or print an application. On February 1st, 2022, you will visit https://ccb.vermont.gov to apply online.

How will I request a replace ID card, change dispensary, or update my address?

The Medical Cannabis Program will maintain its current website https://medicalmarijuana.vermont.gov until January 30th, 2022. Over the next month, we will begin to transition its content to the new CCB website https://ccb.vermont.gov. General information about services provided by the Medical Cannabis Program will be easy to locate throughout the transition.

Will the Medical Cannabis Program have a new mailing address?

Yes, after December 31st, 2021 the Program’s new mailing address will be:

Montpelier, VT 05620-7001

U.S. postal mail for the Medical Cannabis Program will be forwarded to Montpelier after December 31st, 2021.
