Town Hall Meeting on Cannabis to be Held at Hartford Vermont HS on Monday

Hosted by the Hartford Selectboard and Hartford Community Coalition to gain input from the community and give information on state and local cannabis legislation 

Hartford — The Hartford Selectboard and the Hartford Community Coalition will be holding a town hall meeting on Monday, December 13, 2021, to receive input and give information on cannabis legislation for the town of Hartford.

The meeting will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Hartford High School auditorium, 37 Highland Avenue in White River Junction.

The state legislature and the Vermont Cannabis Control Board are currently in the process of developing ordinances and policies to create comprehensive regulatory schemes for the cannabis industry tailored to address local needs. 

The town hall meeting will consist of a question and answer session on the status of the regulatory process in Vermont. The majority of the meeting will provide an opportunity for attendees to provide feedback and ask questions on key issue areas.

The panelists scheduled to appear are Kimberly Gilbert from Two Rivers – Ottauquechee Regional Commission, Janet Potter from the Hartford School District, Alan Budney, Ph.D. from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, Stephanie Waterman from Grow Pro, Dave Silberman, High Bailiff Addison County, and Lori Hirshfield, Town of Hartford Director of Planning and Development. Hartford Selectboard Vice Chair, Joe Major, will be the moderator for the event.
