Vermont Senate Committee on Committees Seeks Applicants for Cannabis Control Board Advisory Committee by Wednesday, June 23rd
Act 164 of 2020 launched the creation of a regulated cannabis market in Vermont. The Cannabis Control Board has been established and appointed and they are starting their work to safely, equitably, and effectively implement and administer the laws enabling access to adult-use cannabis in Vermont.
Act 164 also called for the creation of an advisory committee composed of experts with relevant expertise and knowledge to support the mission of the Cannabis Control Board.
Lt. Governor Molly Gray, Senate President Pro Tempore Becca Balint, and Senator Dick Mazza (the Senate Committee on Committees) are tasked with appointing several members of the advisory committee.
They are seeking applicants for the following position as described in the statutes:
- One member with an expertise in the cannabis industry
