Recipe: Cannabis-Infused Bacon
You can find bacon on nearly anything these days. I’ve seen bacon donuts and even chocolate-covered bacon strips… the possibilities are endless with bacon, so why not throw a cannabis-infused bacon recipe out there as well? Here’s one for the bacon lovers.
Desired amount of sliced bacon (one whole package is best, save some for later or share)
Desired amount of cannabis flower or trim (about ½ ounce per package)
*Note: Potency of bacon depends on parts of cannabis plant used and amount. Know your tolerance levels before using more.
Large baking sheet
Salt shaker (optional)
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 hour collectively
Bud Bacon Recipe
- Heat oven between 200-250 degrees (240 degrees is ideal).
- Place broken down cannabis on baking sheet in a thin, even layer.
- Cook cannabis between 40-60 minutes, rotating baking sheet once or twice to ensure even heating.
*Note: Cannabis must go through decarboxylation by being properly heated to activate the psychoactive component, THC.
Prep the Bacon
- Clear baking sheet of decarbed cannabis and evenly spread bacon on it.
- Grind cannabis close to powder.
- Sprinkle ground cannabis onto bacon evenly (can use a salt shaker for this step).
Cook the Bacon
- Heat oven to 275 degrees.
- Place bacon in oven for 10 minutes.
- Pull bacon out and flip each piece over with tongs. Sprinkle cannabis atop bacon evenly again.
- Place bacon in oven for 10 more minutes. Take out, allow to cool, and enjoy!
Once the bacon’s cooked for 20 minutes collectively, the fats should ensure all the cannabinoids infuse into the bacon, making it ready for your consumption.
