VT Agency of Commerce, Dept of Taxes to Host Webinars on Economic Recovery Grants

Heady Vermont Staff 1 Jul 2020

The Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development and the Department of Taxes will be facilitating a series of  discussion and presentation webinars on the Vermont Emergency Economic Recovery Grants, which will soon be available to businesses.

The webinars come ahead of July 6, when the state will start accepting applications from small businesses that have been financially impacted by the coronavirus crisis this coming Monday. The grants are part of Governor Phil Scott’s economic relief package.

On June 19, Scott signed a bill that included $70 million for the Emergency Economic Recovery Grants. Additional legislation is headed to the governor for signature and when signed, will add an extra $96 million in funding for grants.

The webinars will cover eligibility requirements, grant award calculation information, grant application processes, and what documents businesses will want to have prepared and on-hand when applying.

Officials are urging business owners to visit the Agency of Commerce and Community Development’s website ahead of time for detailed information on how to prepare proper documentation, find eligibility requirements, learn about the grant formula and the application process.

The full listing of AOCD webinars can be found on the Heady Events page.
