Terpene Tuesday: Terpinolene
Although found in many cannabis strains, terpinolene is a terpene that is only present in very small amounts. It’s often one among dozens of other terpenes in cannabis strains but rarely takes #1 in percentage. However, this doesn’t mean that this terpene is unimportant.
Terpinolene takes a key role in cannabis strains. Without terpinolene, you’d have a hard time defining the taste and smell in a strain. It helps define these tastes, smells and affects therapeutic and experiential effects. This multidimensional terpene carries a wide range of smells including piney, floral, citrusy and has a ‘fresh’ kind of smell to it.
