Second Annual Veteran’s Day Cannabis Giveaway
In the spirit of both gratitude for service and compassion for suffering, Heady Vermont, in collaboration with the Vermont Cannabis Nurses Association, will be hosting our second annual Veteran’s Day Cannabis Giveaway.
On Sunday, November 10, from 12-4pm, veterans and medical patients (who can be civilians) (and must be 21+) are welcome to come to the Heady Vermont offices and pick up some free flower, edibles, concentrates, or whatever we happen to have on hand at the moment!
“There is no reason that anyone who needs access to cannabis medicine, whether to alleviate their pain or improve their medical condition, shouldn’t have easy and affordable access to whatever plant medicine they need,” says VTCNA founder, grower, and cannabis nurse Jessilyn Dolan. “Unfortunately though,” she adds, “that’s not the system we live in. Cannabis prohibition on a federal level makes it difficult for veterans to get access to MMJ, and the cost can be prohibitive for anyone with acute or chronic mental or physical challenges.

Heady Vermont and VTCNA are also soliciting donations of cannabis products from any growers or makers with extra to share. People can drop off donations November 4-8 between 10am-5pm at the Heady Vermont office, 250 Battery Street in Burlington.
Anyone living an inconvenient distance from Burlington, or with other logistical challenges, can email email@example.com and we’ll make arrangements for a pickup.
Please note that if you are pregnant or have a history of mental illness, it’s best to consult with a physician or health care provider before taking any cannabis products.
