Buds, Beer, & BBQ – A Harvest Celebration And Food Drive

White River Growpro has partnered with their neighbors River Roost Brewery and Big Fatty’s BBQ to host BUDS, BEER, & BBQ a Harvest Celebration and Food Drive on Saturday, October 27th, 2018. The event will benefit the food shelf at the Upper Valley Haven. Donations for the food shelf will unlock special deals at each location all day long.

“We wanted to do something to celebrate the first legal cannabis harvest for recreational home growers in Vermont. We thought it would be fun to pull our neighbors in, and make a big day out of it. We have a great community of businesses down here on South Main Street, and both Mark Babson of River Roost, and Brandon Fox of Big Fatty’s were excited to join in. In the spirit of sharing the bounty of the harvest, our businesses have decided to make it a food drive. As we get into the winter months, the need for food shelf services increase, and we wanted to do something to give back to the community” noted Stephanie Waterman, co-owner of White River Growpro and event organizer.

“We wanted to do something to celebrate the first legal cannabis harvest for recreational home growers in Vermont. We thought it would be fun to pull our neighbors in, and make a big day out of it.”

At White River Growpro they will be offering onsite cannabis potency testing with SAGE Analytics from 10am to 4pm. A donation to the food shelf will get you a FREE potency test! Home growers and hemp farmers can take advantage of this opportunity to measure the THC and CBD levels of your harvest. The SAGE Analytics testing machine uses infrared technology to deliver results in about one minute. This testing cannot be used for state certification or compliance due to the margin of error of  1% +/-.

“We’re excited to be hosting SAGE Analytics, to offer testing for home growers, who often may not know much about the strain they are growing. It’s a unique opportunity to test the potency of your crop without paying the high fee at a lab” added Waterman.

Additional donations at Growpro will get you 10% off your purchase and/or your choice of free item from their variety bin from 10am to 5:30pm. River Roost Brewery will be offering free beer samples in exchange for a donation from 12 noon to 6pm, and Big Fatty’s BBQ will be offering free samples of their award winning Mac & Cheese with donation from 11am to 9pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to come and explore these three downtown businesses all for a great cause.
