New Monthly Women Of Cannabiz Learning Series
A new sequence of monthly Women Of Cannabiz Learning Series, hosted by This Wonderful Place in Morrisville, will work to educate, cultivate, and grow the next generation of women cannabis business owners,
Over the course of 7 Tuesdays, from May to November, participants will be introduced to cannabis biology, cultivation, and harvesting. They’ll also learn how to make cannabis-based products, get the basics on starting a cannabis-based business, and be given detailed instruction on effective branding and marketing techniques.
Each month’s event will feature presentations by topic experts from around the Northeast, lunch created by chef Jillian Austin, time for hands-on experimentation, and opportunities for networking among the participants.
“The female marijuana plant is the one that produces the buds, so it makes sense that women are going to be (and already are) a huge part of the industry,” says Taraleigh Weathers, owner of event venue This Wonderful Place. “Providing a space for learning and cultivating relationships where we build each other up and form collaborations is a dream come true for me.”
“Doing a series like this has been a goal of mine for years,” says co-organizer and Heady Vermont CEO Monica Donovan. “As we’re building and promoting a locally-based cannabis economy, it’s important to provide opportunities for as many people as possible.”
