First New England Cannabis Convention In Vermont Sells Out Exhibitor Booths

Kathryn Blume 2 Apr 2018

Vermont Lt. Governor David Zuckerman to deliver keynote address.

The Vermont cannabis community is counting down the days to May 12-13, 2018, when New England’s largest cannabis convention arrives in Vermont for the first time.

Organized by New England Cannabis Conventions and Heady Vermont, along with Vermont Cannabis Solutions and Greener Mountain Consulting, the Vermont Cannabis and Hemp Convention (VTCANN) will take place at DoubleTree by Hilton in Burlington, and feature two full days of exhibitions, educational seminars, and speakers related to medical marijuana, industrial hemp, CBD wellness products, and the ever-growing New England cannabis industry. Vermont’s Lt. Governor David Zuckerman, a longtime legalization advocate, will deliver the keynote address.

“We’ve seen wall-to-wall people at cannabis conventions across New England,” says Heady Vermont CEO Monica Donovan. “Vermont already has a thriving legal hemp industry. With legalization of cannabis for personal use coming on July 1, we’re excited to share all the businesses, advocates, and educators with the general public.” Donovan adds, “For us, this is part of normalizing cannabis culture in Vermont, and educating people about the medicinal, economic, and cultural value of this remarkable plant.”

Reflecting widespread enthusiasm for personal therapeutic uses of cannabis and the nation’s fastest-growing industry as a whole, the 60+ exhibitor spots have completely sold out. and include businesses and organizations that range from lawyers providing legal services to farmers growing CBD hemp, to scientists building harvesting and extraction equipment, to home gardeners, and everything in between, including advocacy workshops and presentations from Heady Vermont and groups like the New England Veterans Alliance.

The convention will also feature approximately 20 total hours of interactive panel presentations and demonstrations including legal growing 101

More early bird weekend passes have been added to keep up with demand, and single-day tickets are also available at headyvermont.com/events/vtcann2018, with discounted tickets for military veterans and students.

Sponsoring organizations include: Vermont Security, Creek Valley Cannabidiol, Ceres Natural Remedies, IASO, Humble Roots Horticulture, White River GrowPro, JAM Creative, Cannaplanners, Bloom Boss, Green State Gardener, Cloudponics and Maia Grow.

Visitors from out of state can book discounted rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton for $169+tax (UPDATE: The room block is now full – visitors can book at any of the suggested area hotels on the Vermont Cannabis and Hemp Convention landing page).

VTCANN is an over-18 event, unless accompanied by parent or guardian with tickets. Admission is free for age 16 and under.

Attendees should also note that because the new law legalizing the possession of small quantities and the use of recreational cannabis does not take effect until July 1, 2018, there will be no consumption or sale of THC cannabis at event.
