RUTLAND, Vt. — The next meeting of the Women Grow Vermont chapter will take place on Thursday, July 7th, 2016 at the Rutland Farmers Market. The Rutland Farmers Market brings together one of the largest gatherings of Vermont farmers and food makers in the state. The time set for the meeting is 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
July’s speakers are Vermont State Senators Jeanette White and Dick Sears, both of whom voted “yes” for legalization this year. It behooves the Vermont cannabis community to get behind our elected officials who represent the point of view that 57+% of Vermonters favor legalization and form new, viable streams of activism to organize for legalization in 2017.
This event is made possible by the efforts and generosity of the Rutland Farmers Market.
In addition, The Vermont Hemp Company has been collaborating with local brewers for years pursuing hemp infused ales. Joel Bedard, of VTHC has graciously donated hemp to these two local Home-Brewers, Evan Vacarr & Dave Bombard who have crafted a Hemp Ale for the Women Grow event on July 7.
Exclusive Ales are these gentleman’s specialties. Vacarr and Bombard plan on taking a unique approach on the current beer market. Both intend on further working with Bedard of The Vermont Hemp Company, synergistically approaching the market together. These two young men are founding Green Empire Brewing, whose unique ales will be hitting the market next year.
There are many Vermonters who dream of opening a new business that will include cannabis in one form or another and by networking and collaborating we can turn recent disappointment into future success with micro breweries and countless other entrepreneurial endeavors.
Tickets can be purchased on the Women Grow site.
