The Cannabiz Pitch Competition

On Tuesday, November 14, Heady Vermont presents the first in The Cannabiz Pitch Competition series, where we will award $1000 cash to a Vermont-based business and/or entrepreneur, as well as additional in-kind professional business development services. This quarter’s competition is sponsored by Merritt & Merritt and KIND Consulting.

Applicants may submit their applications anytime through Friday, November 11 at 5 p.m. Five finalists will be chosen by the following week, and will have the opportunity to present their pitches, Shark Tank style, to the competition judges on Tuesday, November 14. Pitches will take place in the Black Box Theatre at Main Street Landing, with a reception following in the adjacent Atrium.

The winning business/individual will promote working landscapes and innovation in Vermont. Entrants may range from hemp cultivators to product-makers to software companies and all other legal enterprises. Prize funds may be allocated at the winner’s discretion towards any/all business expenses, including meals, fuel, rent, professional services, and anything in between.
